Dear Jimika from the Mages of Tirisfal
Dear Jimika from the Mages of Tirisfal.
I met you for the first time yesterday, when I was riding through the Badlands with my lower-level character. You, a “skull” Tauren warrior, had challenged a level 42 dwarf paladin to a duel. She had misclicked and accepted. I was very impressed that she, a protection paladin, survived as long as she did and made a sizable chunk disappear from your health pool.
But inevitable happened and you won, I hope this victory made you very proud. I rode on – but you soon caught up with me. You tried to annoy me by riding at the same spot, and then you thought that I am after Loch Modan animals so you rode ahead and killed them before I got close.
But I was not after the animals. I was just riding to Thelsamar – and unwittingly I led you there.
You started with killing off the flight master. Then you continued killing the guards and other NPC’s – all around level 30, non-elites. This was a bit too much.
Loch Modan is a low-level alliance/dwarven area – and Thelsamar is the hub. As such, more than half of Thelsamar NPC’s are trainers and quest-givers. And while raids are perfectly okay, killing trainers, quest-givers and flight masters definitely isn’t.
Although Delianna was in Northrend, I was able to get there in a few minutes. You were still on your rampage, killing off everything you could – including level 9…14 players, who weren’t smart enough to avoid you and got the PvP flag.
Whatever moral quarrels I had, they ended right there and then. You were level 70 warrior, I had two levels on you – but I dislike PvP with rogue and suck at it in any case. Also, I hadn’t gone to the trainer – so, for all purposes I considered it a fair fight.
Of course, being a rogue, I stealthed and then… what usually happens, when a stealthed rogue attacks a warrior? Yes, you died, I was barely hurt.
I thought that it was the end of that – but apparently you had other ideas. As soon as you resurrected, you attacked me. Considering that you have 4400 HK’s according to Armory, I would have thought you to be a bit more knowledgeable and able fighter. Warrior has a chance against rogue, if he gets to rogue first (or has a far superior gear) – and that chance is greatly diminished after 3.0.2 when rogues got Dismantle.
So, you died again. Long story short, I killed you five times, giving every time you a chance to go away – but you just wanted to mindlessly kill those low-level NPC’s. I really started to think that all the stories about the thickness of Tauren skulls are true – when you finally got it and left.
This is the third time in a week when I see high-level Horde character rampaging in the low-level Alliance area. Why? Does it make you feel powerful that you can kill characters with forty to sixty level differences? Is it a bragging right – Hey! I killed a level 30 non-Elite!! Ain’t I just the best playa eva?! What is the point?
This is RP server. If you want to raid, do it in RP-style – and to a place with your level enemies. Avoid quest-givers as much as possible – there is an excellent sticky thread by a Horde player about RP raiding. If you want PvP – hey, guess what? We have battlegrounds, Arena and open-air areas for PvP. Not to mention, there is always an option to move to PvP server.
But do not ruin the lives of low-level characters, many of who are new to World of Warcraft.
Im sorry to ehar this from a member or our guild, it is far from what we expect from the members that we think are mature
jimika was kicked from the mages for reasons of pure idiocy.he does not represent what our guild is about. put it in basic non- game terms.. the guy is a fuvking idiot and if i saw him in the street i’d tear his face off.. thanks
Yes its horrible if a lower questing place gets ganked over and over. One thing tho; it happens on both sides. I understand you felt pissed about it, i would feel the same. Only next time think also about the other players on the other side and don’t link a single persons actions too a whole guild maybe
